to 2 p.m.at the Calallen-based facility located at 13725 Northwest Blvd. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Farm-to-Market Road 624. “If you are looking for a place to take some classes, whether it be anatomy and physiology, history, government, psychology, speech, all those first year classes, we host them here at the Northwest Center, along with our certified nurse aid, EKG, and phlebotomy,” said Flores. “The student to teacher ratio usually runs from 10-20 students per teacher, and being out here it isconvenient, and it just benefits everybody,” said Flores.Īttendees who plan to apply for admission are encouraged to bring a copy of their high school or college transcripts and financial aid applications.
The Northwest Center, that is home to more than 275 students, offers credit, noncredit and online instruction to residents in Nueces County and beyond.
“It caters to, of course, your Robstown, Banquete, Alice, Orange Grove, Odem, Sinton, and if they want to come out here and utilize this facility and get some information on Del Mar College, we are here for them,” said Northwest Center Program Coordinator Mario Flores.
